Dead Man With Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound Found In NJ Preserve, Police Say
The 30-year-old was found at the Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve in Princeton on Thursday morning, police said.
PRINCETON, NJ — A 30-year-old man was found at a nature preserve in Princeton on Thursday morning with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Princeton Police said.
Princeton Police responded to Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve at 57 Mountain Avenue around 8:24 a.m. on Thursday following a report of an unresponsive man.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, preliminary investigation indicates that the injury sustained by the man was self-inflicted. The Princeton Police Department Detective Bureau processed the scene, and the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office was notified.
"At this time, the investigation indicates that this was a tragic, individual occurrence, and there is no ongoing threat to the community,” police said. The incident remains under investigation.
