Emergency repairs were made Tuesday evening, resulting in two hour delays on the Northeast Corridor line.

NJ Transit expects mostly normal commuter schedules for its Northeast Corridor trains on Wednesday, following emergency repairs on Tuesday that led to ongoing signal and switch problems near Newark Penn Station.
There could be scattered 10-15 minute delays, NJ Transit officials said.
Shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Amtrak experienced a problem with signal feeds and switches, which control the movement of trains, near Newark Penn Station. As a result, trains had to stop and receive verbal permission to proceed in order to ensure safe operation.
