Princeton To Celebrates 10 Years Of Borough, Township Consolidation Thursday
The community-wide event will be held at the Municipality Complex Plaza.

PRINCETON, NJ - Thursday will be a special day in Princeton as the Municipality will be celebrating a major historic milestone.
The municipality will celebrate 10 years of the consolidation of Princeton Borough and Princeton Township.
As the first NJ consolidation in 15 years, Princeton will honor and celebrate the historic consolidation that united the community.

The community-wide event will be held at the Municipality Complex Plaza from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
It will bring residents and community members together with pre-consolidation officials and members of the Transition task force, to celebrate the progress in Princeton over a decade.

The event will recognize the path forged for other New Jersey municipalities to follow and other key members involved in the transition.
Sen. Andrew Zwicker will be one of the speakers and give remarks on the benefits of consolidation and the important example Princeton set for the rest of the state.
Councilwoman Michelle Pirone-Lambros and Mayor Mark Freda will reflect on the journey and progress Princeton has made since the consolidation.
There will also be DJ music and treats.
