What does the nominee do for work?:
She is an RN Director of Community Wellness and Engagement at Penn Medicine Princeton Health
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Debbie organizes work schedules for the entire hospital personnel who have been furloughed from their departments due to COVID-19. This includes physical therapists, surgical nurses, office staffs who cannot see patients now because the doctors use of Telehealth, MRI techs, the list goes on and on. She works around the clock with a smile! Everyone calls her, texts her and e-mails her all shifts. A quick response day or night appears. Scheduling changes by the minute due to sick employees. Or the floor calling people back to work. She provides jobs throughout the hospital for those that would have been laid off. I must add her co partner Craig Hawley who is also available 24/7 to all of us.

The reason I am calling Debbie and Craig our heroes is because their dedication goes above and beyond any thing I have ever seen. I have been in the medical field since 1977. They are true heroes everyday 24/7 on call with a tremendous work load. With a smile on their face and love in their hands for their fellow workers to keep everyone safe and hospital staff moral up! We, the health care workers, all thank you!
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Debbie Millar never shows being exhausted. Ever. Always positive, smiling and helping everyone continue to schedule hours and have work to do in other departments of the hospital. We are not without jobs. She is the most energetic moral booster ever!
Thank you for all you do, Debbie!
