Princeton Officials Invite Eisgruber to Discuss University Initiatives

The meeting on Dec. 2 will be open to the public.

Mayor Liz Lempert and the Princeton Council have invited Princeton University President Chris Eisgruber to a special public meeting on Monday, Dec. 2 beginning at 7 p.m. in Council chambers at 400 Witherspoon Street.

Eisgruber will discuss current and upcoming University initiatives with Mayor and Council. Afterward, all are invited to an informal meet-and-greet reception in the Community Room.

For the past several years, the Public Affairs Committee of the Princeton University Board of Trustees has invited the mayors and other top municipal officials to meet with the committee. At her Jan. 1st address, Lempert said she would extend a reciprocal invitation to the new University president.

Representatives from the municipality and University plan to start discussions regarding the University’s voluntary contribution to the community in mid-November.  Those discussions will not be a topic of conversation at the Dec. 2 meeting.
