Princeton Parking Attendant Fired Amid Investigation of Selective Enforcement
A second employee faces discipline charges, but likely not termination.

A Princeton parking enforcement officer has been fired for allegedly turning a blind eye to certain parking enforcement in town in exchange for goods, according to The Princeton Packet.
The newspaper reported that Princeton Administrator Bob Bruschi and Police Capt. Nick Sutter met with Chris Boutote, a former Borough police officer turned civilian employee of the Police Department, on Monday.
The firing comes after a police investigation into the actions of two parking attendants: Boutote and Jon Hughes.
Bruschi said there is no evidence that the wrongdoing extends beyond Boutote and that any criminal charges would be handled by the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
Both attendants were suspended in late September, the Packet reported.
Bruschi told the Packet he expects to meet with Hughes on Wednesday, but he will "likely" face demotion and administrative discipline, but probably not termination.
