Princeton Police Investigating Luring Attempt

An 11-year-old child reported a man tried to lure him into vehicle on Tuesday while on Hamilton Avenue

Princeton Police are investigating a reported luring attempt Tuesday on Hamilton Avenue near Chestnut Street.

The police say a male suspect, who parked a four-door gray mini-van or SUV on Hamilton Avenue, motioned to an 11-year-old boy to come toward him. He then opened his rear passenger door and pointed for the child to get in.

The boy ran in the opposite direction, west on Hamilton. His mother happened to be driving on Hamilton, and the boy safely entered her vehicle and report the incident.
