Shoplifting, Contempt of Court: Princeton Police Blotter

$676.92 worth of alcoholic beverages was stolen from a store in Princeton, police said.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Police Blotter dated May 21 had the following reports:

On May 14, 10:30 a.m., following a motor vehicle stop by Montgomery Township PD, a 28-year-old Somerset man was arrested after an active warrant was found in his name issued by the Princeton Municipal Court.

The man was taken to Princeton Police Headquarters and processed accordingly. He then appeared in Princeton Municipal Court where he pleaded guilty to several motor vehicle offenses.

On May 17, 9:56 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop a 35-year-old Trenton man was found to have an active warrant issued by Millstone Twp. Municipal Court. He was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, and processed accordingly. He was released on his own recognizance pending a new court date.

On May 17, 7:58 a.m., a retail establishment on North Harrison Street told police that $676.92 worth of alcoholic beverages was stolen from the shelves of its store. The suspect removed several alcoholic bottles from the shelves of the store and then placed them in a shopping cart where he later exited the store without paying for the items. The suspect was described as a male wearing a black t-shirt, black athletic sweatpants, and a black hat.
