Playwright’s Workshop with James Christy, Arts Council of Princeton Artist-in-Residence. Free for ages 14-18 that will take place on Tuesdays, 4-5:30 pm from Sept. 24 - Nov. 5. Christy will help students develop new plays. No experience is required but students must be engaged and interested in exploring theater, be willing to fully participate during class sessions, and complete writing assignments. Students will explore stories happening in Princeton, and how a historic and wealthy community is changed by an expanding Latino population,Registration required, 4 p.m.
Wednesday
Althea Ward Clark W’21 Reading Series: Hodder Fellows Katy Didden and Adam Ross. Didden’s first book, The Glacier’s Wake, won the Lena-Miles Wever Todd Prize from Pleiades Press and was published in 2013. Ross's debut novel Mr. Peanut, a 2010 New York Times Notable Book, was named one of the best books of the year by The New Yorker, The Philadelphia Inquirer, among many others, Berlind Theatre, McCarter Theatre Center, 4:30 p.m.Mom-e (entrepreneurs) Club Networking Social Mixer. Tickets are $20/person for members, and include a cocktail, an array of appetizers and dessert, and opportunities to mix and mingle. All are welcome, no need to be a mom to participate. Winberies's Restaurant and Bar, 5:30 p.m.
Poetry workshop: "The Nature of Place" with Poet Maxine Susman. Novices and established writers are invited to "The Nature of Place" poetry workshop at D&R Greenway. Maxine will read works by key nature poets, and share objects of nature, to trigger inner nature explorations, the writings to be shared as desired with the group. Registration required by Sept. 24 by emailing rsvp@drgreenway.org. 6:30 p.m.
Seuls en Scène Presents Les Mains négatives & Aujourd’hui est un autre jour, part of the French Theatre Festival at Princeton University. Marie and Edward Matthews ’53 Acting Studio, Lewis Center for the Arts. Free, but reservations are strongly advised, 8 p.m.

Movin' and Groovin with Miss Amy. She will be in the Center Court- let the kids dance, sing and have a great time. MarketFair Mall, 10 a.m.Princeton Farmer's Market features local, seasonal produce. Hinds Plaza, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
CAN DO Fitness Clubs will host its inaugural Corks & Forks events benefiting the March of Dimes. This event will feature the restaurants, chefs and wineries in the local area, along with a silent auction, Princeton Forrestal Village Princeton, 6 p.m.
Friday
The Friends of the Princeton Public Library Annual Used Book Sale. The sale will feature a large and varied selection of books on history, politics, literature, and art; a wonderful collection of children’s books; DVDs and CDs; and some exciting old and unusual books such as Isaac Newton’s “Observations Upon the Prophecies of Daniel, and the Apocalypse of John,” published in 1733. Preview sale is from 10 a.m. to noon $10, Regular sale begins at noon until 8:30 p.m. Hinds PlazaThe Fund for Irish Studies Presents a Lecture by Amy Martin, who will
lecture on “The Origins of Irish Internationalism: Violence and Terror in

The Brentano String Quartet will perform a concert, featuring Beethoven, Quartet opus 18 #3; Mackey One Red Rose; Mendelssohn Quartet opus 44 #1. Princeton University, Richardson Auditorium, 7 p.m.
