The following is a summary of incidents as reported by Princeton Police:
PRINCETON, NJ — On July 15, at 12:58 p.m., patrols responded to a home on Clay Street to investigate a verbal dispute. The on-scene investigation revealed that the accused, a 24-year-old Trenton resident, had an active warrant for his arrest from the Woodbridge Police Department for $1,000. He was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters for processing. After processing, the man was turned over to the Woodbridge Police Department.
On July 18, at 11:53 p.m., following a motor vehicle stop for failure to keep right and failure to properly signal a turn at the intersection of Nassau Street and Stockton Street, the driver, a 25-year-old Lawrenceville resident, was placed under arrest for operating his vehicle while intoxicated. The man was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Keep Right, Failure to Properly Signal Turn, Careless Driving, Open Container of an Alcoholic Beverage, and Reckless Driving. He was released to a sober adult.

On July 19, at 11:16 p.m., following a motor vehicle stop for Speeding and Failure to Keep Right, the driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest for operating his vehicle while intoxicated. The 59-year-old Princeton resident was taken to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Speeding, Failure to Keep Right, Failure to Inspect Vehicle, and Reckless Driving. After processing, he was released to a sober adult.
On July 20, at 3:04 p.m., the store manager of a business on Nassau Street reported that an unidentified man used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase two articles of clothing, totaling $86. The suspect then received $14 in change, resulting in a total financial loss of $100 to the store. In a separate transaction, the man also purchased a store membership and provided an email address. Video footage captured the suspect exiting the store and entering a white Tesla with an unknown registration. This investigation is on-going.

On July 20, at 12:56 p.m., following a motor vehicle stop for an improper/unclear plate on South Harrison Street, the driver was found to have an active warrant from the Milltown Boro Municipal Court for $1,500 with a 10% bail posting option. Townsend was placed under arrest and transported for processing. The man was issued a motor vehicle for Improper/Unclear Plates prior to being released on his own recognizance.
On July 20, at 3:12 a.m., following a motor vehicle stop for driving without lights being activated, the driver/sole occupant was arrested after he was found to be operating his vehicle while intoxicated. The 60-year-old Princeton resident was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Unregistered Vehicle, Lamps Required, Failure to Possess Insurance Card, No Liability Insurance, and Reckless Driving. He was later released on his own recognizance.
On July 22, at 5:05 p.m., a man reported that on July 22 between 07:50 a.m., and 4:30 p.m., an unknown actor(s) stole his bicycle, valued at $479.98, that was locked on Nassau Street. There are no suspects at this time.
