“Known for its prestigious university, historic sites, and vibrant downtown, Princeton offers a sophisticated blend of intellectual stimulation and small-town charm, making it perfect for those seeking an alternative to big city living,” the survey said.

According to Hannah Smith of JoyOrganics, the survey reflects a growing desire for a balanced lifestyle that America has to offer.

“Each location on our list offers a unique way to reconnect with what truly matters in life, away from the frenetic pace of modern work culture” Smith said.

In the national list, unsurprisingly, Kailua Hawaii took the top spot. Located on Oahu, Kailua offers beautiful beaches, outdoor activities, and a laid-back atmosphere. It's ideal for a relaxed life away from the city's bustle.

Two other New Jersey towns also made the list – Cape May (79) and Haddonfield (110).

Methodology: An online panel survey of 3,000 adults were chosen based on age, gender, and geography. Respondents were chosen from a geographically representative online panel of double opt-in members. This selection was further tailored to meet the precise criteria required for each unique survey. Throughout the survey, the questions were designed to carefully screen and authenticate respondents, guaranteeing the alignment of the survey with the ideal participants.
