Baron Pool Service Owner Honored for Years of Service

Long-time Ramsey businessman T. Robert Baron, a Mahwah resident who owns Baron Pool Service in Ramsey, was honored by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP), a national trade association, with induction into its Fellows Program.

Steve Gorlin, Chairman of APSP, said that Mr. Baron was inducted into the program to convey the association's deep appreciation for Mr. Baron's sacrifices, dedication and commitment to the professional development of APSP members.

Mr. Baron has been deeply involved in the group's educational programs since the 1980s.

"The rank of APSP Fellow is an honor bestowed on prominent individuals from the pool and spa industry who have made distinguished and significant contributions to increase professionalism through teaching, research and exemplary service to others," said Mr. Gorlin.

He was one of the original authors of APSP's textbooks, which are used to this day to teach veteran technicians as well as new people coming into the pool and spa industry about technical and business subjects necessary to succeed in the business.

"I am deeply honored to become a member of the APSP Fellows Program," he said. "I have been working with a team of dedicated volunteers from around the country for decades to improve the educational levels of the pool and spa industry. This has allowed us to deliver top-rate customer service to the pool and spa consumer. When a consumer hires an APSP certified pool and spa professional, he or she is getting the very best that the industry has to offer."

Mr. Baron is owner and operator of Baron Pool Service, headquartered in Ramsey. In addition to his work with APSP, an international group, he is also a board member of a regional association called the Northeast Spa & Pool Association and a local trade association, called the Metro Chapter of New York and New Jersey.

Mr. Baron is currently Vice President of the Metro Chapter and he will assume the post of President in 2014.

Mr. Baron and his wife Gerrylee are longtime residents of Mahwah.
