Hubbard PTO Donation to Buy New Playground, Apple TV

The volunteer organization donated over $16,000 to the school.

Students at Hubbard School next year can expect some new additions to the school, thanks to a donation from the school’s PTO.

At its last official meeting of the 2012-13 school year, the Ramsey Board of Education accepted a $16,402 donation from the PTO.

The money will be used to buy a Smartboard system with projector, two Lightspeed Sound systems, five Apple TV systems, a new playground, its delivery, and new playground stencils.

The board approved the donation and spending plan unanimously, calling the fundraising work done by the group throughout the year “amazing.”

Representatives from the volunteer parent organization did not answer a request for comment on the donation, but the PTO did post the following message on its website:

"THANK YOU from the Hubbard PTO Board for everyone's hard work this year.  Our organization is blessed with so many talented and generous people who help make each event and activity enjoyable for the children and beneficial for the Hubbard Community.  We hope you enjoy a relaxing, fun, and safe summer with your families!  Please continue to volunteer next year to help make this great organization thrive!"
