Ramsey Man Wins $522K Jersey Cash 5 Jackpot

RAMSEY, NJ — A local man won $522,000 playing family numbers for the most recent Jersey Cash 5 drawing.

He as so nervous he would lose the wining ticket he slept with it.

Christopher M. told NJ Lottery officials he does not play quick picks, but plays his own special numbers like his, his wife, and his child's birthdays, and his age. He said those numbers are lucky because he previously got four out of five numbers on a Jersey Cash 5 ticket using the same numbers he won with recently.

When he checked his numbers at work the day after the drawing, he was amazed he won. So much so that he kept checking the numbers again and again.

When he got home, he told his wife, and she did not believe him until he went to the store and got the ticket validated at Village Stationers at Main Street. He was so nervous that night he slept with the ticket.

The family will use the money to go on a spring break trip and for his children's college education.
