Reports: Elderly Couple Faces Birdfeeder Fine
A disabled man and his wife face a $500 fine after neighbors complained about the birdfeeders in their backyard, reports say.
An elderly Ramsey couple is facing a borough fine of as much as $500 over a birdfeeder in the backyard, reports Monday said.
According to an NBC report, Ramsey residents Alfred and Annette Rockefeller were issued a summons after neighbors complained about the 12 peanut-stocked birdfeeders they keep in their backyard. According to complaints, the feeders don’t only attract birds, but other animals like squirrels and deer, the report said.
The Rockefellers say they are in accordance with a borough ordinance allowing for hanging birdfeeders on private property, CBS reported Monday.
