Roadwork Program to Start in August
Nine roads in the borough should be repaved within about a week, officials said.

An annual roadwork improvement program that's set to repave nine streets in Ramsey will only take about five or six days this August to complete, borough officials announced at a council meeting Wednesday night.
According to Borough Administrator Bruce Vozeh, Ramsey is part of a multi-town cooperative that coordinates paving projects each year. Towns enter the agreement with the same contractor in order to save money on the roadwork, officials said.
Ramsey’s turn in the roadwork rotation is approaching, and Vozeh said Wednesday he expects roadwork to begin on around August 12.

“That is actually a fairly quiet time [in the borough], so I think the timing works out well,” he said.
According to borough officials, the total cost for paving all of the roads in the nine towns participating in the cooperative is about $3M.
