Report of Suspicious Package Investigated at Ramsey Train Station
Package left unattended was investigated by the NJ Transit Police, and cleared.

Only one train was diverted from the Ramsey Route 17 train station Thursday morning while Transit Police investigated a customer-reported suspicious package at the station, Transit Police Spokesperson Nancy Snyder confirmed.
Shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday, a commuter at the station reported an unattended black bag left on the eastbound platform, Snyder. NJ Transit police “immediately responded [to the area] and investigated [the bag],” Snyder said.

“The bag was cleared quickly,” she said. The whole incident was, “very brief.”
During the investigation, one train bypassed the station, Snyder said. Passengers were let off at a nearby stop, she said.
