Special Primary to Determine Senate Candidates

See all you need to know about voting in Ramsey.

A special primary election Tuesday will determine which candidates will run in an October special election to replace the late NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg, who died earlier this year.

Democrats will have the opportunity to choose between four potential candidates - Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Representative Rush Holt, Representative Frank Pallone, and Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver.

Republicans have two candidates on the ballot – former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan and Alieta Eck, a physician from Middlesex County.

Polls in Ramsey will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Polling locations are as follows:

District 1 - Tisdale School, Island Ave.

District 2 - Smith School, Monroe St. [CHANGE - Voting will take place in the school's cafeteria, instead of in the gym]

District 3 - Dater School, School St. (Gymnasium)

District 4 - Ramsey High School, E. Main St. (Murray Gymnasium)

District 5 - Hubbard School, W. Oak St. (Gymnasium)

District 6 - Tisdale School, Island Ave.

District 7 - Ramsey High School, E. Main St. (Murray Gymnasium)

District 8 - Dater School, School St. (Gymnasium)
