Theater Supporters Get Permanent 'Thank You' at Ramsey High School

Chairs in the "adopt-a-chair" will honor the contributions people made.

OnStage, Inc. – which just wrapped performances of Anything Goes in Ramsey – has spent the last half dozen summers inside the Ramsey High School auditorium, casting, rehearsing, and performing shows starring high school and college students.

Now, the school’s theater will also serve as a connection between OnStage and the volunteers who help it run.

“To celebrate the 40th season of OnStage, Inc. the board of directors paid tribute to five very special people whose work and dedication touched the lives of young performers, musicians and stage crew over the decades.”

The group chose to “adopt” chairs in the auditorium that will now serve as permanent thank yous to those people.

“Row J center will forever hold the names of these outstanding individuals,” OnStage said in its release.

So, next time you are in the audience and looking for something to do, look for Doug Gipple, Deborah Holden-Holloway, Laura Rocozak, Joe Scorese and Joel C. Silver on the back of the chair in front of you. Their names will be displayed there on small plaques on the “adopted” chairs.
