Three Bosco Grads Make Top NFL Players to Watch List

Players are on the Jets, Giants, and Bears, and include legend Phil Simms's son.

Three NFL players who graduated from Ramsey’s Don Bosco High School made a list of the top NFL players to look out for during the upcoming 2013-14 season.

Matt Simms, Justin Trattou, and Corey Wootton all made northjersey.com’s “North Jersey’s Best in the NFL” list.

According to the article, Simms, son of retired player Phil Simms, will need to beat out Greg McElroy to become the Jets Number 3 quarterback. Simms is originally from Franklin Lakes.

Trattou, a Giants defensive end from Franklin Lakes, needs to excel in exhibition games in order to make the roster, the article said.

Bears defensive end Wootton, from Rutherford, is looking to build on a “solid” 2012 season, the report said.

Other players who made the list include Victor Cruz of the NY Giants, who went to Paterson Catholic, Kevin Haslam, a Mahwah High grad on the Patriots, and Bills player Chris Hogan, a Ramapo grad from Wyckoff.
