Red Bank YMCA Swim Program Receives $10,000 From Classic 5K
Donation to the Red Bank Family YMCA came from proceeds of the June 18 Classic, which made a comeback this year after the pandemic hiatus.

RED BANK, NJ —Red Bank Family YMCA was presented with a $10,000 check recently, proceeds from this year’s Red Bank Classic that were earmarked for the Y.
The funding will go toward a program that provides a free, weeklong water safety program with four free swim lessons for all third-grade students at Red Bank Primary School and Red Bank Charter School.
"We are so grateful for the incredible work that the Y does for our local families and children and we are so excited to see these funds provide swim classes to all third-graders at the Red Bank Primary School," said the Red Bank RiverCenter Executive Director Bob Zuckerman in a Facebook post.

The Red Bank Family YMCA was the sole beneficiary of the classic.

For the first time since 2019, more than 1,400 runners and walkers returned to Red Bank for the Red Bank Classic 5K and Kids Fun Run to benefit youth programs at the local YMCA.
The charity event June 18 was organized and hosted by the Red Bank Business Alliance and Red Bank RiverCenter.
At the check presentation were Red Bank Councilwoman Kate Triggiano; Jason Daniels and Anthony Setaro of the Red Bank Business Alliance; Bob Zuckerman, executive director of Red Bank RiverCenter; and Pam Hearn, Sandra Weingart (executive director), Jennifer Dunn and Teicia Gaupp of the Red Bank Family YMCA.
