Seeking Volunteer at National Women's Health Organization

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of women nationwide? HealthyWomen is seeking a part-time volunteer/intern in our Red Bank, NJ office. We welcome motivated, independent, and self-disciplined persons interested in learning more about women's health to bring their ideas and energy to our office. Candidate will gain working knowledge of varied women's health topics.Responsibilities:Updating and gathering information on women's health organizations and health resources to expand database Assisting in the regular update of web site, including information about HW and its services, checking links, suggesting new content and ways to drive traffic Inputting contact information from consumers and relevant statistical information into database Assisting with office responsibilities and ensuring that office is properly equipped with sufficient supplies Tracking and fulfillment of consumer requests for various health information and publications Assisting employees with projects as neededQualifications:Experience working with and/or responding to consumer needs Able to work independently on multiple projects at one time Excellent written and oral skills Team player; offers suggestions for improving operations and helping HW fulfill its mission Computer competency in Word, Excel, Outlook and internet Proofreading skills A strong interest in women's healthThis opportunity is unpaid. Volunteer/intern may earn high school or college credit and/or documented hours for class credit, project or paper. Volunteer/intern must be available 1 day per week for 5 hours (preferably Mon or Wed) for a minimum of 3 months at a time. Commuting to Red Bank, NJ office is required.
