An Officer and a Podcast

Visiting his fiance in Rochester, NY while on leave from Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Thomas Fesseden, an active member of the 82nd Airborne decided to make a detour to Red Bank. His goal, to meet the guys behind his favorite internet podcast.

One of the internet's most beloved podcasts "Tell 'Em Steve Dave!" is recorded right here in Red Bank every week at Jay and Silent Bob's . The show regularly attracts hundreds of thousands of listeners who download the show each week, a total that doesn't include the uncounted more who listen in live.

The show, a multiple award winner, includes Secret Stash staff regulars - soon to be television regulars - Bryan Johnson, Walt Flanagan, and Ming Chen, the man behind the View Askew website.

"It's the funniest show on the radio or the internet," Fesseden, a six-year veteran of the U.S. Army said. "I've been a huge fan of these guys for some time."

Fesseden stopped by and was able to listen in on the podcast, pose for photos with the crew and get their autographs. As for the store, he said he loves it. The next time he comes back, he said, he'll probably be married.
