Crossbow Found During Domestic Investigation
Police said a man a arrested for an alleged domestic incident owned an illegal crossbow.

A Red Bank man was charged with assault and unlawful possession of a weapon after police said they discovered a pistol-grip crossbow during a domestic incident investigation.
According to , Jose Hernandez-Briones, 45, grabbed the unidentified female victim by the shirt and threw her on the bed causing a scratch to her neck and multiple bruises to her arms.
The incident took place Sunday night at about 10:15 p.m., police said, at 106 River St.

During the domestic investigation, police discovered a pistol grip crossbow, which they determined to be the property of Hernandez-Briones. The Red Bank man was charged with simple assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, police said. He was ordered held on $25,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
