Enviro Commission Pushes for Reduced Footprint
The Red Bank Environmental Commission is asking resident to participate in an effort to reduce carbon footprints.
Taking steps to reduce your carbon footprint is easy, it just takes a little effort.
At Wednesday's Red Bank council meeting, Councilwoman Kathy Horgan, liaison to the borough's Environmental Commission, implored residents to consider walking more, riding their bikes to work, or simply carpooling instead of driving themselves to work.
If that's too much to handle, Horgan said drivers should at least consider taking steps to reduce emissions by avoiding idling. Should you find yourself at a convenience store or parked on the side of the road, turn that engine off and help save the planet.
