According to borough fire marshal Stanley Sickels, a plastic gas tube was cracked during digging at 24 Irving Place, causing a leak and prompting emergency response. The Red Bank Volunteer Fire Department and responded to the scene as a precaution, though the leak was remedied shortly after the call went out at about 2:30 p.m.
