David Pascale, organizer and chair of the Human Relations Committee, said Red Bank's Pride event is a departure from others in the area that are more akin to a large party. This event, while still a celebration, focuses on education and the success stories of gay leaders and business owners in the area. It's a chance for LGBTQ youth to see examples of role models in the gay community.

The event is being sponsored by Red Bank Borough, Red Bank Council members, the Red Bank Human Relations Advisory Committee and the Monmouth County's Consortium on LGBTQ youth. A $5 suggested donation is requested to cover costs & support the organization www.makeitbetter4youth.org
