
Mildred Becker, 93, of Fair Haven, who worked at Red Bank's Surray Luggage for nearly half a century, passed away Saturday, April 27, at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation, Shrewsbury.
Born in Red Bank, Mildred moved to Fair Haven in 1959. A graduate of the NJ Beauty Culture Academy, she was a member of the Fair Haven Senior Citizens group and the Congregation B'Nai Israel in Tinton Falls. After she graduated from beauty school, Mildred worked as a beautician for several years before working at Surray Luggage in Red Bank for more than 40 years, according to legacy.com.
Mildred was predeceased by: her husband, Oscar Becker Jr.; her parents, Isidore and Fannie Weinstein; a daughter, Carol Helene Becker; two brothers, Harry and Edward Weinstein; and a sister, Esther Krubiner.
She is survived by: a daughter, Joyce Becker of Kent, England; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Ramona Becker; several nieces and nephews, including Karen Englander and Paul Weinstein, both of Tinton Falls, Lori Dars, of Somerset, Karl Becker Jr., of Red Bank, and Liza Barton, of Herdon, VA; and great-nieces and nephews, David, Daniel, Stephanie, Alex and Jennifer.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the B'Nai Israel Cemetery, Riverdale Avenue, Tinton Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mildred's name are being accepted by teh American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association.
