'A Dream In The Making': New Surgical Center Comes To Monmouth County
The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction aims to bring together leading surgical experts in one location for collaborative care.

RED BANK, NJ — A new surgical center has officially come to Monmouth County.
The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction, located on 331 Newman Springs Road in Red Bank, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for its new 14,500-square-foot flagship healthcare facility on Wednesday.
The institute is a leader in plastic, reconstructive, hand, and specialty surgery, according to officials, and is designed to provide “seamless, integrated care" by bringing together leading surgeons across multiple specialties to deliver cosmetic, reconstructive and specialty procedures under one roof.

Dr. Andrew Elkwood, the founder of the Institute for Advanced Reconstruction, said the facility's opening marks a significant milestone in their mission to provide “life-changing care” to patients, many of whom live with hard-to-treat chronic conditions.
"We are creating a centralized hub that makes accessing critical procedures more seamless, collaborative and convenient,” Elkwood said.

“This state-of-the-art facility embodies our commitment to innovation, excellence, and patient-centered care, ensuring that individuals in the tri-state area receive the expert treatment they need to reclaim their confidence, mobility, and quality of life,” Elkwood continued. “It represents the future of surgical excellence — designed with patients' health, confidence, and well-being at its core."
At the new facility, the institute aims to offer a streamlined experience for patients seeking expert care in reconstructive surgery, aesthetic treatments, hand and upper extremity surgery and breast health services.
The institute’s multidisciplinary team includes award-winning surgeons and specialists from the Institute for Advanced Reconstruction, the Plastic Surgery Center, the Center for Hand & Upper Extremities, Premier Surgical Network and Beast Center of New Jersey, and It Aesthetix Luxury Medical Spa.
“This has been a dream in the making for a long time,” Dr. Michael Rose, the managing partner for the Plastic Surgery Center, said at the ribbon-cutting. “And to finally stand here, surrounded by colleagues, patients, friends, and community members, is incredibly special.”
Rose went on to thank the staff, leadership, community and patients who have trusted them along the way and spoke about their mission to bring together the leading experts in plastic, reconstructive, hand, and specialty surgery in one convenient location for collaborative care.
“We’re proud to be recognized globally for the work we do — but we’re even prouder to do it right here in New Jersey,” Rose said. “As a surgeon and partner in this practice, I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built — and the lives we’ve had the privilege to change.”
“Today marks a new chapter,” Rose continued. “And we’re just getting started.”
