New Jersey Symphony Returns To Red Bank For Marine Park Concert

Saturday with the Symphony concert is planned for July 1, returning to Red Bank after scheduling postponements, including for COVID.

RED BANK, NJ — Red Bank RiverCenter is bringing the New Jersey Symphony back to Red Bank for a free concert this July 1.

Last appearing in 2019, the orchestra returns in the RiverCenter's Saturday with the Symphony event.

The concert will take place at Marine Park on Saturday, July 1, at 8 p.m.

The concert is free of charge, but RiverCenter is offering VIP Seats (folding chairs provided) for $25, positioned at the front, nearest the orchestra. Go to the RiverCenter link to order the VIP tickets.

In the event of rain, the concert will take place at the Count Basie Theater, according to RiverCenter, also with special VIP seating.

José Luis Domínguez will conduct the orchestra, and the program will contain some classic favorites and inspirational music for the July Fourth holiday, as well as selections from "Jurassic Park" and "West Side Story," and William Grant Still’s "Festive Overture," among other selections. There will be a performance by Timothy Lien, winner of the New Jersey Symphony Youth Orchestra’s Henry Lewis Concerto Competition.

And throughout the summer, music will be in the air in the borough.

Every Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in June, July and August, the sidewalks come to life with performances from local musicians and artists, all to be enjoyed by visitors strolling by, RiverCenter notes.
