Power Outages Reported In Fair Haven, Marlboro, Holmdel: JCP&L

JCP&L said weather-related power outages were being resolved, but were scattered throughout certain areas of Monmouth County.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Power was affected by windy weather conditions in some areas of Monmouth County Wednesday afternoon.

JCP&L spokesperson Chris Hoenig said that as of 6 p.m., 500 customers were without power in Fair Haven and 1,600 in Marlboro.

Earlier weather-related outages in Red Bank and Rumson were restored he said.

Police in Holmdel reported outages in the area of Georjean Drive around 4 p.m. due to a large tree falling on wires. JCP&L, which serves the area, was made aware of the problem and was responding, police said.

The National Weather Service had forecast high winds, especially along the New Jersey coast, part of the same system that brought severe weather to the Southeastern United States.
