Rain Predicted, Local Summer Starts
It's what's going on in the Red Bank-Shrewsbury area this week.

Well, friends and fans, it's Labor Day.
Local summer is upon us and it's an area tradition that's savored. However, that probably won't start until mid-week, since the rain forecast and, yes, thunderstorms, are looking like a pretty sure thing, according to the National Weather Service.
The troll, uh, weather service, says that some of these scattered thunderstorms predicted could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. That threat moves into Tuesday.
But, the rest of the week is lookin' good, with clear skies, sun and moderate temperatures in the high 70s.
And that means … Let local summer begin. Here's the tide table for Sea Bright for today into tomorrow, for those of you are venturing to the water somewhere in between the raindrops, or just want to know:
