Red Bank 2021 Election: Triggiano, Sturdivant Lead Council Race

RED BANK, NJ — Incumbent Kate Triggiano and newcomer Jacqueline Sturdivant are leading the race for the two open Red Bank Borough Council race, according to unofficial results.

Both candidates were running on the Democratic ticket. The Republican party didn't make nominations for the general election.

Behind in the race is independent candidate Suzanne Viscomi.

"Thank you, Red Bank, for entrusting me with a second term. Leading with kindness, I promise to continue to work hard and smart for everyone in our Borough," Triggiano wrote on Facebook. "Congratulations to the newly elected Charter Study Commission members and to Councilwoman-elect Jacqueline Sturdivant."

Outgoing committeeman Hazim Yassin fell behind Triggiano and Sturdivant during the primary election.

Mail-in votes will still have to be counted and the Monmouth County Clerk will have to certify the results before they are official. All nine districts have been reported.

Red Bank Regional High School Board Of Education (One Little Silver seat):

  • Tara Gibb - 1,179
