Red Bank Borough, Schools To Be Recognized For Safe Transportation

The Borough and five Red Bank schools will receive awards at EZ Ride's Annual Recognition Event.

RED BANK, NJ — Red Bank Borough and five Red Bank schools will be honored at EZ Ride’s Annual Recognition Event on Thursday.

As a local transportation service, EZ Ride aims to implement transportation programs, services, and biking and walking initiatives that reduce congestion and mitigate air pollution.

At their annual event, Red Bank Borough will receive the Gold Award for their Safe Routes to School program, which aims to create safe and accessible routes for students.

Additionally, the Borough will receive Silver and Gold EVAL Awards, which recognize the city’s commitment to promoting electric vehicle adoption, and acknowledges the Borough’s efforts to expand workplace charging infrastructure by installing EV charges at Borough Hall and English Plaza.

“This achievement highlights Red Bank’s dedication to promoting active transportation and enhancing community well-being,” officials said.

At the event, recognition awards will also be presented to five schools in the Borough.

Red Bank Middle School and River Plaza Elementary School will receive First Step Awards, St. James Elementary School and Red Bank Primary School will receive Bronze Awards, and Red Bank Charter School will receive a Gold Award.

“This recognition is a testament to the power of collaboration between EZ Ride and the Borough of Red Bank,” officials said. “Together, we have made significant strides in making our community more accessible and connected than ever before.”

EZ Ride’s 2024 Recognition Event will take place on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Galloping Hill Golf Course, Kenilworth.
