Red Bank Gets A Grant To Improve The Town's Walkability

The town won a grant from the American Association of Retired Persons.

RED BANK, NJ — Red Bank got a grant from the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to improve the town's walkability.

The funds will be used for wayfinding decals, which will be placed at different intersections throughout Red Bank to detail to pedestrians how many steps and minutes they are from local features.

There will also be a parklet with benches, bike racks, and trash receptacles on one of the busiest roads in the borough. The point is to make walking the downtown area more comfortable for everyone.
