Red Bank Man Allegedly Flees from Cops Investgating Possible Drug Use

A Red Bank man is facing obstruction, criminal trespass and resisting arrest charges after he allegedly fled through area back yards when police attempted to investigate a group they allege were using drugs.

Red Bank police arrested Jordan Rivera, 110 Leonard St., on Sept. 17 and charged him with obstruction of the administration of the law, criminal trespass and resisting arrest when Rivera allegedly fled from them while they were attempting to conduct an investigation into a "group of subjects believed to be ingesting CDS" at about 5:20 p.m. at the end of Locust Avenue near the nature trail, the complaint warrant said.


Rivera allegedly ran through the rear of Bell Haven condos and other back yards then back onto Locust Avenue. He allegedly ignored officers who shouted for him to stop because he was under arrest.

Bail was set at a total of $4,500 by Judge William Himelman, with no 10 percent option.

Rivera was slated to appear in court on Sept. 19 at 8:30 a.m.
