Red Bank Together Team Thanks Voters For Their Support
Although unsuccessful in its election bid, according to unofficial results, the Red Bank Together team thanks voters, awaits certification.

RED BANK, NJ — The Red Bank Together team has issued a statement thanking those voters in the borough who supported it in the recent municipal election, and said all members of the team wish Red Bank "nothing but the best" for its future.
In unofficial results Tuesday, the team, which included three incumbents, was defeated in the election by the Red Bank Ready's Team, led by Mayor Billy Portman.
"As we wait for the final election results to be released, we want to thank the voters of Red Bank for their support," the team said in a statement.

"As a team of accomplished professionals who came together with a vision of honesty, integrity and a realistic path for Red Bank's future, we are proud of our now concluded campaign. We vowed to keep our focus on the issues that we believed were going to greatly impact Red Bank's future growth and success. We stood by that pledge," the team wrote in a statement.
"As Red Bank residents who love our town, we wish nothing but the best for its future."

Portman defeated Tim Hogan of the Red Bank Together team in the mayor's race by 1,251 to 796 votes, in unofficial results as of Thursday night. The Red Bank's Ready team also outperformed the Red Bank Together council candidates, including incumbents Michael Ballard, John Jackson and Jacqueline Sturdivant, who were defeated.
Vote totals are unofficial and won't be certified until May 18, according to Borough Clerk Laura Reinertsen, as mail-in and other ballots are counted.
