Downed Tree Is Cleared From Route 35 In Shrewsbury: Police
A downed tree on Route 35 in Shrewsbury prompted commuting delays Monday morning, but the tree is cleared and traffic is normal, police say.
SHREWSBURY, NJ - A downed tree on Route 35 in Shrewsbury has been cleared, after it caused commuting delays Monday morning, police here confirmed.
As of 6:34 a.m., there was a report of a tree down on Route 35 southbound, north of Avenue of the Commons, by the Eastern Branch of the Monmouth County Library, police said in an update. Earlier information was from the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Police said that the tree was removed, traffic is back to normal and no power was affected.
