Saying Goodbye to Cole Porter, Weekend Sun
It's what's going on in the Red Bank-Shrewsbury area Friday and into the weekend.

Happy Friday, friends and fans!
The sun is out and it will be all weekend, with the exception of a possibility of scattered showers tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
Oh, and apparently, "because the information this site (National Weather Service) provides is necessary to protect life and property, it will be updated and maintained during the Federal Government shutdown," a notice on the NOAA.gov site tells us. Uh, OK.
Well, apparently information on tides is available, too, but not because the information is necessary to "protect life and property," but really because the websites from which that information is mostly derived are not government-affiliated. Oh, Lordy.
Not that NOAA doesn't have that information, but, uh, plenty of others do, too.
So, before the tide turns on that one (so, that was a little corny), here's the tide table for Sea Bright through the weekend:
2013-10-04 3:21 PM EDT -0.03 feet Low Tide
2013-10-04 6:32 PM EDT Sunset
