Which is your favorite business decoration for Meridian Health/Riverview Medical Center's Paint the Town Pink event? Upload your own photos or tell us where some good ones are.

Red Bank businesses are in the pink — or getting the tinge of Pink Bank.

As a testament to the Paint the Town Pink campaign, sponsored by Meridian Health, business owners and residents were invited to participate in the annual month-long May pink decorating event designed to heighten breast cancer awareness and raise funds for research and covering costs for under- or uninsured women's mammograms.

"Participation is free and the level of involvement is up to each individual business," according to a release from Meridian. "Meridian will provide each registered business a 'pink kit' which includes educational materials, a window cling for your storefront, a listing on the website and pink piggybanks to collect money ..."

So, lately businesses in Red Bank, or Pink Bank for the campaign's purposes, are going pink for the cause. Some have pinked out more boldly than others.

Needless to say, Riverview Medical Center has been awash in pink lights and banners, as the sponsor. But, in downtown Red Bank, Broadway Diner on Monmouth Street looks exceptionally in the pink.
