Shrewsbury Police Report Forged Checks, Thefts and Harassment

Shrewsbury police reported the following incidents and arrest from April 27 to May 2 ...

Incidents:

• A theft was reported in the area of Broad Street on April 27. The victim reported that merchandise valued at approximately $1,020 was allegedly stolen.

Patrolman Frank Neary is investigating.

• A theft was reported in the area of Broad Street on April 27. The victim reported that property valued at approximately $400 was stolen.

Patrolman Ryan Cullinane is investigating.

• There was a report of fraudulent checks used in the area of Broad Street on April 29. The victim reported that someone forged checks to a business for a purchase in attempt to receive the balance in cash.

Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.

• There was a report on April 28 from multiple residents that they had recieved harassing phone calls and text messages from an unknown person. 

Sgt. Louis Fitzgerald investigating.

• There was a report of a theft in the area of Princeton Court on May 1. The victim reported that property valued at approximately $300 had been stolen by an unknown person.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

Arrests:

• Police reported one arrest on a contempt of court charge in the Broad Street area.
