Sidewalk Sale This Weekend In Red Bank - With Free Parking
Visit the 69th Red Bank Sidewalk Sale, Aug. 18 through Aug. 20, with shopping deals, music and special activities.

RED BANK, NJ — The 69th annual Red Bank Sidewalk Sale is back starting Friday, Aug. 18, through Sunday, Aug. 20, the Red Bank RiverCenter announced.
"This is the weekend to make it to downtown Red Bank," said Tom Hanley, events and marketing manager for RiverCenter. "There is literally something for everyone."
The three-day event was first held in 1954 and has been a highlight of the Red Bank summer scene ever since. Red Bank RiverCenter is teaming up with the retail community to continue this tradition.

Visitors will enjoy outdoor shopping and savings from a variety of downtown Red Bank retailers - all with free parking that weekend.
And there are many extras visitors will come across this year, Hanley said.

For example, Friday afternoon there will be another "Kids Takeover" of the Broadwalk from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., he said.
Children ages two to eight with parents can enjoy sidewalk chalking and activities such as a giant tic-tac-toe game. The young ones' bikes and scooters are allowed then, too, he said. This all happens on the summertime pedestrian plaza on Broad Street.
And the Street Life live music scene - usually just on Saturdays - will perform an extra day on that Friday, Hanley said.
Irwin's Marine Center on the Navesink River will also have a presence on Broadwalk, "coming ashore" to talk about its Carefree Boat Club, Hanley says.
Free parking
One of the biggest boons to visitors and shop owners will be the free parking all weekend long.
“We are ecstatic about the borough’s decision to waive parking fees for the entirety of the Sidewalk Sale weekend. We encourage shoppers to take advantage of this outstanding opportunity," Red Bank RiverCenter Executive Director Bob Zuckerman said.
"Whether you’re looking for fashion, antiques, or the many great goods and services our downtown Red Bank businesses proudly offer, the weekend of August 18 to 20 is a must-visit for area residents and visitors alike," he added.
And RiverCenter reminds shoppers they can "complete their experience" by dining at one of the borough's restaurants.
As Hanley says, "You'll come away with something tangible - or maybe a great memory."
