Water Main Break Closes Monmouth Street
A water main break at the intersection of Monmouth Street and Maple Avenue has crews hastily trying to make a fix.
A water main break has snarled traffic at the intersection of Monmouth Street and Maple Avenue as Red Bank Department of Public Works crews currently attempt to repair a gushing pipe.
The break was reported at around 8 a.m. a DPW employee said, and a hole about six feet by 10 feet was carved into the asphalt to provide access to the pipe. Work closed Monmouth Street for the past couple of hours, though the western bound lane has been reopened to traffic.
It's unclear how long it will take to repair the break.
