N.J. Recovery From Hurricane Sandy: By the Numbers
Jersey Shore- Visit Ocean City Patch for recovery by the numbers.
Survivors can register online and check on the status of their applications at DisasterAssistance.gov, via smartphone or tablet at m.fema.gov. They also can call 800-621-3362 or TTY 800-462-7585. Those who use 711-Relay or Video Relay Services can call 800-621-3362. Recovery assistants remain available daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Lakehurst- A groundbreaking has taken place for the New Jersey National Guard’s new Army Aviation Support Facility at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
Congressman Jon Runyan joined military leaders at the groundbreaking for the new Army Aviation Support Facility.

From The Depths: Benz Hauled from Bay Bottom in Brick
Brick- Even one of Germany's finest automobiles was no match for Superstorm Sandy.
It's tough to tell the exact model this car was, but the body style and taillights indicate it's a midsize Mercedes-Benz, probably from the 1990s.
Crews found it in Barnegat Bay Monday afternoon and towed it to the boat ramp at Traders Cove Marina off Mantoloking Road in Brick, where it was hauled out from the murky depths.

The Startling Sight of Raised Houses
Port Monmouth- In Port Monmouth, the houses tell the Hurricane Sandy story.
In a drive through the streets of this section of Middletown that got swamped with severe flooding from Compton and Pew's Creeks, there are plenty of fine, neatly kept homes where folks appear to be getting on with life as they knew it before Oct. 29.

Week in History: 10 Buildings in Flames
Red Bank- A fire on a cold, windy night 98 years ago nearly wiped out the then-most densely populated section of Eatontown, according to the March 10, 1915 issue of the Red Bank Register.
The Eatontown firefighters threw a dinner and party that drew much of the town the evening of the fire. When two barns and properties on Railroad Avenue went up in flames, the firefighters and the party attendants flocked to the scene.

Several Fort Monmouth Property Sales Still Pending
Eatontown- Several Fort Monmouth properties are on the market, and potential developers are looking to purchase buildings and parcels of land in Eatontown, Tinton Falls and Oceanport.
One of these properties is Howard Commons in Eatontown, which is an aged, dilapidated housing development off Pinebrook Road in Eatontown ready for demolition because it's homes don't meet current building safety codes. It consists of 486-townhouse style residential units in 52 buildings built in 1952 that may contain non-friable asbestos and lead-based paint.

Disabled Dragons Kicker Starego Denied Eligibility to Play Another Year
Toms River- An eligibility subcommittee of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association – the state's governing body for high school sports – has denied a high school football placekicker with autism the chance to play for another year.
Anthony Starego, a member of the Brick Dragons varsity team, rose to fame last year after his success kicking field goals went viral online and in the media.
