A Sonic drive-in is scheduled to open Feb. 13 in Tinton Falls. The fast food restaurant will consist of two canopied sections with 21 stalls for carhop service, a drive-through window, eight outdoor dining tables, and indoor seating, too. The eatery, made popular with its slushy beverages and unabashed fast food concoctions like the Frito pie and the chili cheese dog, is expected to create up to 80 jobs, according to franchise owner and Freehold resident Anthony Cirillo. Currently Monmouth County has one Sonic restaurant located in Howell, though another has been approved for Middletown.
