Borough, Library 'Like' Reaching Residents with Digital, Traditional Presence
New communication strategy will push news and events to residents in traditional print formats and also on the net.

It's easier than ever to find out what's going on in Glen Rock. The borough government and Glen Rock Public Library have teamed up to push news and information to residents in traditional print formats but also with some digital gusto.
Last week, the borough began posting updates and alerts at the library on a bulletin board located near the library's rear doors. Facebook, Twitter and use of the website will also bring news and events to residents.
"The library is the go-to place for information, so the new ‘Borough News’ Bulletin Board is a perfect partnership with the Borough," Library Director Betsy Wald said in a press release. "Glen Rock residents will know what's going on in their community regardless of whether they prefer digital or ‘traditional’ paper formats."

Information about library events is also available at Borough Hall. Borough Administrator Lenora Benjamin is excited about the partnership.
"The Borough is fortunate to have the library participate in our communications plan," Benjamin said in the news release. "Since the library has always been a great resource for community information, it is the perfect location for a Borough news outlet, and vice versa. Now when residents visit the library or Borough Hall, they will leave with a better idea of what is going on around town. It’s one-stop shopping for local information."
