Glen Rock Blotter: Car Strikes Dog, Mail Lost, Cable Line Downed
Glen Rock police handled 264 calls this week. Here are three highlights.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Between March 23 and March 29, police in Glen Rock handled 264 calls for service. Among those calls, police highlighted three in their blotter.
On March 26 at 10:14 a.m., a Ridgewood woman called police to report her dog had been struck by a car along Ackerman Avenue near the railroad underpass at the Ridgewood border.
Police said an officer responded and found the dog, which didn't show signs of injury.

According to the blotter, the car that hit the dog was described only as a white sedan. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Glen Rock Police at 201-652-3800.
Also on March 26, at 2:47 p.m., a Glen Rock man called to report he had not received any mail in a week. When he contacted the post office, he was told a hold had been placed on his mail, police said.

The USPS was working to determine if the hold was a clerical error or if it resulted from fraud. An investigation from US Postal Inspectors is ongoing.
According to the blotter, the man told police he believes a check was missing from the mail he received, and he is following up with his bank.
On March 27 at 12:34 p.m., a Bergen County sanitation truck hit a tree on Prospect Street near the entrance to the County Park. Police said a limb from the tree took down a cable line and caused some minor damage to the siding of a home near the park.
The situation is being handled by the Bergen County Sheriff's Department, police said.
