Glen Rock Teachers Reach 4-Year Contract Agreement: See Raise Numbers
The Glen Rock teachers will get a new 4-year contract with a salary increase each year. See when raises go into effect.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — Glen Rock's teachers' union reached a 4-year contract agreement last Tuesday with the school board, including a small raise each year.
The Glen Rock Education Association (GREA) and the Board of Education settled on a four-year contract that retroactively begins on July 1, 2024. They've been in contract negotiations since the winter, said a spokesperson for the distrfict.
According. to the district, the new agreement, active through June 2028, includes a 3.6 percent salary increase in year one, 3.5 percent increase in years two and three, and a 3.4 percent increase in year four.

Salaries for co-curricular advisors and coaches will increase 3 percent in year one and 2 percent in year two, with no increases in the third and fourth years.
Dr. Damali Robinson, Glen Rock schoolboard president, said the conclusion of negotiations was “marked by a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Both parties engaged in good faith discussions, resulting in an agreement that balances the needs of our dedicated staff with the careful stewardship of taxpayer resources."

GREA President Lisa Tomaselli said, “We love teaching the children of Glen Rock and we love being able to support our families. This contract allows for that. We are glad to have a four-year contract, because it allows for a longer period of stability between the BOE and the GREA. A special thank you to lead negotiator, Kathleen Walter, and the GREA negotiations team.”
