NJ's PointsBet Offers Credit On All Saints Bets After Blown Call

Saying it is good karma, PointsBet said one blown call should not change betters' outcome.

One New Jersey sports book is paying back bets on the New Orleans Saints after a referee's blown pass interference call in the National Football Conference Championship Game Sunday.

PointsBets of Jersey City said they will refund both money line and point spread bets that were placed on the Saints. New Orleans lost the game, although not entirely, after officials missed a pass interference call.

"One blown call may change a game's outcome," PointsBets said on its Facebook page. "That doesn't mean it should change your outcome. Just think of it as good karma."

The refunds will be paid out in the form of site bonuses.

Rams cornerback Nickell Robery-Coleman hit Saints wide receiver Tommylee Lewis in the head before a pass from quarterback Drew Brees in a blatant pass interference penalty, but two officials near the play did not call the infraction.

The game was tied 20-20 and the Saints, rather than advance to where the penalty occurred, had to settle for a field goal. The Rams then went the length of the field to tie it at 23 and force overtime.

Brees was intercepted on the Saints' first drive of overtime and the Rams kicked a 57-yard field goal to win 26-23.
