Plans for Flooding, Storm Communication Snafus and Budget Talks on Council Agenda
Council likely to pull discussion on Ridgewood Water rate hike, firetruck purchase for Wednesday work session
The Ridgewood Village Council has a packed agenda Wednesday night, with items ranging from a plan to deal with the flooding at the , an update on the , impacts and more.
Two items of note are expected to be pulled from the agenda, a village official told Patch. Due to the absence of Councilwoman Bernadette Walsh, the council will likely delay talks on the as well as the .

- An update on , something heavily criticized by residents and even some members of the council. This could very well be another confrontational meeting between Councilman Paul Aronsohn and Village Manager Ken Gabbert.
- The status of the 2011 budget, which has been taxed with unexpected costs related to storm cleanups and a rocky winter. The 2012 temporary budget (the amount of cash needed before the upcoming budget submittal in the summer) will also be mentioned.
- A plan has been developed to start making , we're told. There should be some preliminary details brought up on Wednesday night.
- is being finished up. Although the oft-delayed project may not be finished by the end of 2011, it's expected to be largely done in January. Fields should be ready for sport participants by spring.
- A newly-formed resident group is expected to address the council with criticism of the village's top management, specifically in , as well as storm cleanup issues.
